Everyone who has an email address has experienced receiving a SPAM message. There are a variety of SPAM messages; some are made to look like familiar, from well known friend or acquaintance, asking for assistance that would require sending money or clicking on a link in the message that would end up compromising the safety of your computer, phone or tablet. Currently, I have been advised one is making the rounds that looks like it is coming from one of our BUSMVA Officers. It is an attempt to have the recipient purchase gift cards to benefit Veterans care. Let me assure you that one is definitely BOGUS and does not come from an officer or member of BUSMVA. It looks almost legitimate, but the address is false. Anyone responding to this or any other similar message, puts their email and computer at risk. DO NOT attempt to message further with the sender. Just DELETE any such message and move on.
